As we age, our facial tissues stretch and sag down, and at the same time supporting tissues under the skin becomes weak which are unable to keep our facial tissues suspended in the same position as when we were young. We can overcome this ageing process to much extent with face lift procedures. Due to increase in awareness about plastic surgery, patients demand for face lift are on increasing trend. This is procedure of choice to reverse the ageing by many years if done by a skilled and experienced plastic surgeon. There are many different types of face lift as mentioned below:
• Minimally invasive ‘non- surgical’ type face lift (thread lifts)
• Short scar techniques
• Full face and neck lifts

At rejuvenaids, we do not believe in concept of ‘standard’ facelift, as every face is different and requires a tailor fit approach after consultation with patients and careful assessment of their facial anatomy to get optimum result.
Many patients come for redo surgery who have previously undergone facelift surgery or minimally invasive procedures. These patients need different and more detailed planning. When considering a facelift, it’s important to know about the layers of the face, and exactly which part of the face you are hoping to improve.
A surgical facelift also known as SMAS facelift, offers great results through its dual mechanism:
During this procedure an incision is made which begins in the hairline above the ear, continues in the crease in front of the ear, around the ear lobe and finishes in the hairline behind the ear.
Through this incision, we remove any excess fat, tighten the supporting SMAS layer and excise excess skin to restore a youthful appearance.
Anesthesia: Local for minimally invasive procedure and General for surgical lift
Length of stay: Patient can go home immediately after thread lift while overnight stay for SMAS lift.
Length of surgery: 30 minutes for thread lift. 3-4 hrs for SMAS lift.
Time off work: From same day in thread lift. After 5-7 days in SMAS lift
Return to exercise: 4 weeks
